The History of the Company

Florida Green Homes, LLC, began in 2007, when the President of the company, Jeff Vasilevskiy, first introduced green construction technologies to Northeast and Central Florida.

Richard Taylor, our Vice President-Construction, has been in the construction industry since 1979. In 2001, he started working for Masterpiece Homes, as the Division Manager. As Division Manager he opened a new Division in the Palm Coast area. He was key in growing Masterpiece Homes, overseeing construction, sales and warranty divisions for a company that grew to sales of 250+ houses per year. He left Masterpiece Homes in the fall of 2006. In 2007 he joined forces with Mr. Vasilevskiy at Florida Green Homes, LLC.

Following the tragedy in New Orleans, where Hurricane Katrina devastated so many lives, the Company’s concern was to create a product that would not only be safe for homeowners, but also be affordable.

Introducing Florida Green Homes, LLC. Our company builds certified green homes in Northeast and other Florida locations. We have over 40+ years of experience in the construction industry. Our office and home models are located in the Gold Certified Green City of Palm Coast, Florida.

During the past years, the team of Mr. Vasilevskiy and Mr. Taylor concentrated on developing the best product available in the marketplace. Homes buit by Florida Green Homes, LLC are some of the safest structures in the world. Our walls, ICF construction, have been engineered to withstand hurricane winds up to 200 mph. Not only did they develop that product, but they continue to improve upon it on a consistent and regular basis. 

In the picture below you can see whole area that has been swept away from 20 ft. storm surge during hurricane Katrina. And what happened to the people from this neighborhood that used to live in regular constructed homes? Thousands of these people were swept away along with their homes.

Only ONE HOME and its owners survived in this area. This is exactly what we build and you can live in this type of home too. Please, think about it. 

Homes built by Florida Green Homes, LLC, are safe, healthy, highly energy and water efficient, eco-friendly, affordable homes. All homes are independently certified as “green” by the Florida Green Building Coalition. Home Insurance Companies classify our homes as a “Superior Construction.”

Florida Green Homes, LLC, has participated regularly in Flagler County’s Parade of Homes since 2008. Our “Hanna” model won an “Award of Excellence” in that year. Following in 2009, our “Birchwood Plus” model won a “Grand Award.” The year 2010 say “The Maple,” from our Affordable Collection, given an “Award of Excellence.”

We currently have two model homes open to the public in Palm Coast, Florida; one from the Affordable Collection and one from the Floridian Collection. Full time agents are present all week long. Just past the start of 2011, ground was broken on a Luxury Collection model home in Palm Coast Plantation, a superior gated community. We anticipate that home to be open to the public by June of this year.

We have developed strong business relationships with major real estate firms throughout Florida, in New York, and several major cities nationwide. Several examples would include, but not be limited to: Watson Real Estate Corp, with 40 offices in our region. Also, on our team: Weichert Realty; Coldwell Bankers; Realty 100+, Advantage Realty & Marketing and many others all around the USA. The Company has, also, established a Real Estate company, Florida Green Homes Marketing, LLC , which is a bona fide brokerage in its own right.

... and most importantly Gold or Platinum certificates from the Florida Green Building Coalition which inspects all stages of construction.

Florida Green Homes, LLC, has developed a comprehensive website, which not only promotes the Company and its product(s), but educates all visitors on green building… its technologies and benefits. We want to be sure that the public knows how green homes stand out in the areas of health, the environment, savings and safety.

Florida Green Homes, LLC is promoted through many different channels: newspapers, magazines, radio, internet, and seminars; just to name a few.

Last, but not least, we have brought together ambitious professionals (Sales, Marketing, Construction, Brokerage) who are now one team working towards the same goal.
